アンジェリカにまつわる話
アンジェリカの名前の由来はラテン語で「Angelicus(天使)」を語源としています。大天使ミカエルの記念祭に花を咲かせることからこの名前がつきました。古くから風邪や気管支炎、胃腸の不調に用いられるなど、病める人々を助けるハーブとして中世では最も重要なハーブのひとつとして数えられていました。
【ハーブティーとして】
アンジェリカは苦味、芳香性のトニックとして胃液や胆汁の分泌を促し、消化不良や食欲不振を改善するハーブとして用いられてきました。アンジェリカの鎮静作用や駆風作用のメカニズムは成分がカルシウム拮抗剤として働くためと考えられています。また発汗作用や利尿作用をもち、身体を温めることから冷え症や更年期の気力、体力の衰えに使用されます。
１、細切りにしたアンジェリカをティースプーン一杯分ポットに入れを、熱湯を注ぐ。
２、蓋をして10分間抽出する。
３、マグカップに注ぎ、服用する。
※食前30分に服用するとさらに効果が期待できます。
※少し苦みがあるため、ミントなどの香りが強いハーブとブレンドするとなお美味しくなり、相乗効果が期待できます。

アンジェリカはその強い芳香をいかして、香水、リキュールや料理に香りづけに使用されるほか、砂糖漬けにした茎はケーキのデコレーションにも利用されています。
また欧米ではアンジェリカの効能を利用するためにベネディクト酒やシャルトルーズ酒が盛んに作られました。
【精油として】
名前の由来と関係している大天使ミカエルは悪と戦う守護天使であるため、ヨーロッパではアンジェリカの芳香は悪魔を退けるとされ、根や茎から抽出される精油にはホルモン分泌の調整作用があり、婦人病や冷え性、のぼせ、貧血症などに効果があることから「女性のための朝鮮人参」といわれています。
【活用方法】
・芳香浴
半身浴の場合は２～３滴を、全身浴の場合は３～５滴を湯船にいれ、よくかき混ぜてから入浴する。
・湿布剤
１、お湯または水を500ml用意し、精油を1～2滴加える。
２、よくかき混ぜる
３、タオルやコットンを浸し、幹部にあてる。
４、１～３を繰り返す。

鎮静作用、去たん作用、自律神経調整作用、代謝促進、鎮咳作用、消毒・殺菌作用
※かんきつ系ではありませんが、フクロマリン類を含むため、光毒性があります。肌への使用後は日光や紫外線にあたらないよう注意してください。

※妊娠中や授乳中は使用しないでください。

Anecdote regarding Angelica
The name Angelica comes from the Latin word "Angelicus". The name came from the flowering of the memorial festival of the Archangel Michael. 【As a herb tea】

【Method of use】
